With effect from 1 January 2026, Martin Kunz has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of steute Technologies, headquartered in Löhne, Germany. He brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience in industrial and process-technology businesses and will be responsible for driving the continued strategic development and profitable growth of the steute Group.
After completing a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) in Rhineland-Palatinate, Martin Kunz held a range of senior management positions in European and U.S. industrial companies. In his recent career he served in different senior leadership roles at Xylem, the global market leader in water technology, and as CEO of Concentric, a leading provider of engine pumps, hydraulic systems and thermal-management solutions.
Martin Kunz was appointed CEO of the steute Group by Battery Ventures, which has owned steute Technologies since 2024. Commenting on his appointment, Kunz said: “This is a challenge I am particularly looking forward to. steute is very well positioned in attractive growth markets such as medical technology, industrial automation and intralogistics, and has been innovating and growing successfully for more than 60 years.”
Working closely with the management team, employees and Battery Ventures, Martin Kunz will focus on further strengthening the steute Group’s global market position while sustainably increasing sales through profitable organic growth and targeted acquisitions. “steute Technologies is an excellent platform on which to build a high-performance, internationally scaled industrial technology group. We see significant potential in international markets, particularly in medical technology and selected industrial application fields such as safety technology.”
