From 9-12 February 2026, as host of the WHX ("World Health Expo"), Dubai will be the international focal point for innovations in medical technology, and steute Meditec will be there.
The main question addressed at the steute booth will be how to actuate the medical devices in the interoperable OR of the future. The experts from steute Meditec have come up with various solutions, for example the new four-pedal foot switches in the GP412 series. These switches combine innovative functionality with total flexibility and freedom of movement – ideal for use in the OR.
A key feature of the new user interface series is remote signal transmission via a low-energy wireless system developed by steute specifically for the requirements of medical technology. Other features of this product series include a power supply via rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and a hygienic, easy-to-clean design which is also extremely ergonomic.
In Dubai, steute Meditec will also be demonstrating examples of customised user interfaces developed and produced for medical device manufacturers in areas such as electromedicine and ophthalmology (phacoemulsification). As medical components, these customised user interfaces and also those from the steute Meditec standard range can optionally be provided with comprehensive product documentation which device manufacturers can then integrate in their main documentation. This considerable simplifies the approval process for the overall system.
Another steute Meditec highlight at the WHX Dubai will be a presentation of innovative approaches to user interfaces, true to the motto "The future of the integrated OR". Here the steute Meditec developers – in collaboration with research institutes and leading medical device manufacturers – focus on central command systems which control all integrated devices intuitively and ergonomically. The latest developments and expected results will be presented in Dubai – as steute Meditec looks to the interoperable OR of the future.
